Accessing Mobile Express

We can access Mobile Express from our browser; it is an easy way to test our Mobile Express customization. So instead of testing our customization on a mobile, we can simply access Mobile Express from our computer's browser by just appending /m in our organizational URL. We can access our on-premise deployment using http://CRMServer/Organization/m.

In the same way, if we are using online deployment, we can access using https://orgnizationname.crm5.dynamics.com/m, and it will look like the following screenshot:

It will show the OOB Mobile Express enabled entities. Online deployment can be used on mobile devices through Internet connectivity.

But we are using on-premise deployment, which is available only in our intranet; we have the following options to access our Microsoft CRM 2011 environment:

  • Configure IFD, so that Microsoft CRM 2011 users can access Mobile Express by connecting to the Internet
  • Allow CRM users to connect to your network so that they can access the mobile using Internet connectivity
