In this chapter, we focused on pattern recognition and using Watson Analytics to identify regularities in data, in an effort to (automatically) positionally classify athletes based upon the provided data. We made some preliminary assumptions, based upon a peek at the player statistics data provided, loaded it into Watson Analytics, created a prediction, and ultimately aligned the outcomes with our original assumptions.

In the next chapter, we will introduce the concept of personalized recommendations and the use of Watson to create a specialized plan through conversations. In that chapter, the objective will be to create an individualized plan based upon characteristics found within a pool of data.
