About the Author

Harold Davis is a software developer who specializes in the Web and e-commerce. Recently, he has worked as a Technical Director for Vignette Corporation, a company whose product is often used to enable Internet Relationship Management. He has also worked as a Principle Consultant for the Web and E-commerce division at Informix Software, where he specialized in developing enterprise-class Web solutions for Fortune 500 companies.

Harold is the author of many books on programming and software development, including the best-selling Visual Basic Secrets series, Web Developer's Secrets, and Delphi Power Toolkit. He is also the author of a number of books about photography, art, and publishing.

Harold holds a B.A. degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from New York University and a J.D. degree from Rutgers Law School.

He lives in Berkeley, California with his wife, Phyllis, and son, Julian. When not programming, writing or performing technical architecture reviews, he enjoys spending time in the garden.
