Before you begin, it is essential to ensure that the dvPortGroups are configured to use the same VLAN, MTU, teaming, and security settings. 

To ensure that the VMs don't lose network connectivity, the dvPortGroup should be configured with an uplink that supports the virtual machine's traffic.
