How it works...

During convergence, PSC components are installed on the target vCenter Appliance, and then the embedded PSC is joined to the same SSO domain as the external PSC, thereby establishing a replication agreement with it. Once done, the vCenter is automatically repointed to the embedded PSC.

When decommissioning the already converged external PSCs, the PSC node is shut down, and it is unregistered from the SSO domain. The unregistration task is automatically executed from the vCenter with the newly embedded PSC.

Converging PSCs into embedded appliances reduces the complexity of your vCenter topology and eliminates the need for the availability of PSC nodes using network load balancers.
