Let's look at the following steps:
- Connect to vCenter Server using the HTML5 client and go to the Networking inventory view.
- Right-click on the desired vDS and go to Settings | Restore Configuration..:
- On the Restore switch configuration screen, browse and select the backup file and choose to either restore the entire vDS or just the vDS without dvPortGroups. Then, click Next to continue:
- On the Ready to complete screen, review the settings and click Finish:
This completes the process of backing up and restoring a vDS.
