Before you begin, ensure that the original VMFS datastore is unmounted and that the LUN backing is detached from the ESXi host that the snapshot LUN is being presented to. Also, procure the details of the LUN from the storage administrator. The details include NAA ID, LUN capacity, and LUN ID.
