The following steps will help you to create an upgraded baseline:
- Connect to vCenter Server using the HTML5 client as an administrator.
- Use the left-hand pane or the inventory Menu to navigate to Update Manager.
- On the Update Manager screen, go to the Baselines tab and click New | Baseline.
- On the Create Baseline wizard screen, supply a Name for the baseline and an optional Description, set the Content to Upgrade, and click Next to continue:
- Select the desired ESXi image for the baseline and click Next to continue:
- Review the settings in the Summary screen and click Finish.
This completes the process of creating host upgrade baselines.
