Managing access permissions in any ERP system is always a challenge. Odoo makes managing user permissions a little easier by allowing you to inherit permissions from multiple groups and then define a new group that automatically includes all of the permissions from those groups. With proper planning, this allows you to create groups that provide your users with the permissions they require.

Let's take a look at the groups Inherited by the Sales / Manager group:

The Sales / Manager group has Sales / User: All Documents included in the Inherited list. Just like the instructions say, users added to the Sales / Manager group will automatically be added to the Sales / User: All Documents group.

With this in mind, manager groups such as this will most often include all other groups that have more restrictions in the system. For example, looking at the Sales / User: All Documents group allows you to see the most restrictive group permissions for the Sales group.
