While the interface enhancements are easily the most obvious differences between Odoo Community and Odoo Enterprise, the reports in the Accounting application are perhaps the most valuable functional improvements over their Community version equivalents.

Let's look at the dynamic Enterprise reports by clicking on the Accounting icon to launch the Accounting application as follows:

Once the Accounting application opens, notice that the menu that would have typically been on the side in Odoo Community is now along the top. This design allows for a lot more usable screen real estate for your applications:

Aside from the Accounting menu appearing across the top and the buttons looking slightly different, there is not much difference between Odoo Community's Accounting Dashboard and Odoo Enterprise on this screen. It should be noted that you must have full accounting features turned on, as described in Chapter 6, Configuring Accounting and Finance Options, to have access to the dashboard in Odoo Community. One of the primary differences we will look at in this chapter is the Accounting reports that come with Odoo Enterprise.
