About the Author

Steve Pacey has held an interest in music since he was just a child. His desire to learn more about music took him from piano lessons to playing trombone in the grade school band, to writing songs, to rapping and learning how to beat box, to playing keyboards and singing in a rock band, to attending a specialized music school, to owning and working in recording studios, to writing music for theater, TV, video, and film, to producing bands, to editing technical music books, and to writing this book. His first computer was an Apple IIe. He later moved on to an Atari 1040Ste and now he uses a Dell desktop with Windows XP. Steve has been a devoted Cubase user since attending the Grove School of Music where he studied songwriting and recording engineering in Los Angeles in 1990. He is currently writing and producing music for several TV shows, including the television series “The Ultimate Blackjack Tour” on CBS. Steve is a member of ASCAP and NSAI. He owns his own music publishing company (Spot On Music) and recording studio and lives in “Music City” Nashville, TN, where he continues to write music for fun and for a living.
