Understanding the CryENGINE 3 asset pipeline

The following diagram displays the workflow or pipeline of creating assets with various pieces of software. In the following examples, we will use Autodesk 3ds Max, which uses the CryExport Plugin to send the asset to the resource compiler. Once processed by the resource compiler, the asset is ready for use within the CryENGINE Sandbox.
