An account represents the customer, partner, or competitor. We can update an account through the Web, data loader, Workflow rule, Process Builder, and Apex code.

Let's look at a business scenario. Alice Atwood is working as a system administrator in Universal Containers. She has received a requirement from her manager to develop a Flow that allows users to update an account rating to Cold in a single click.

To develop this Flow, follow these instructions:

1. Navigate to Setup | Build | Create | Workflow & Approvals | Flows.
2. Click on the New Flow button; it will open the Flow canvas.
3. Create Text variable VarTAccountID, set Input/Output Type as Input and Output, and for Default Value, use {!$GlobalConstant.EmptyString}; we will use this variable to pass the account ID through the Flow URL.
