In order to perform this recipe, you must complete all the previous recipes in this chapter.

If you've been working through this book, then you'll be very familiar with the Television Show project. We're going to work on it once again for this recipe, but even if you've worked through all of the previous chapters to build the project, you still need to download ch8/3-connect-al-project-to-azure-devops-start.zip from the GitHub link at the start of this chapter, so that you're working from the correct starting point.

Rename any existing Television Show project folders and extract the contents of 3-connect-al-project-to-azure-devops-start.zip to use for this chapter.

In order to use Visual Studio Code to upload our AL project, you're going to need to install Git, since we created our code repository based on the Git source control system. This will allow you to interact with the code repository using standard Git commands. You can download and install the latest version from: https://git-scm.com/download/win.
