In order to perform this recipe, you must complete all the previous recipes in this chapter. For this recipe, we'll assume you are going to install the agent on your local Windows machine, so you need to have local administrator rights to the machine.

In order for the pipeline agent to authenticate your Azure DevOps system, you need to provide it with a Personal Access Token (PAT). You need to create that token before performing the recipe steps. You can do that by following the instructions at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/pipelines/agents/v2-windows?view=azure-devops#authenticate-with-a-personal-access-token-pat.

When you have created the token, copy and paste it to Notepad for later.
