The SB-Messaging adapter first shipped with BizTalk 2013 R2 and is used for connecting Azure Service Bus entities. The SB-Messaging adapter can send and receive messages from Service Bus entities such as queues and topics. You can use SB-Messaging adapters to form a bridge between Azure and BizTalk Server, thereby enabling users to create a typical asynchronous hybrid application:
To configure BizTalk to use an SB-Messaging adapter, refer to the following Microsoft documentation:
- How to configure an SB-Messaging Receive Location: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj572840.aspx
- How to configure an SB-Messaging Send Port: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj572838.aspx
In this chapter, we will not go into detail about SB-Messaging adapters and Azure Service Bus Relay. There are already multiple articles describing how you can use relays and SB-Messaging adapters with BizTalk. We will now discuss a new way to do hybrid integration with Logic Apps adapters.
