To change the load balancing policy and the appropriate failover policy, follow these steps:

1. Open up VMware vSphere Web Client.
2. Log in to your vCenter Server.
3. Navigate to Networking on the home screen.
4. Navigate to Distributed Port group and right-click on it and select Edit Settings.
5. Click on the Teaming and failover section.
6. From the Load balancing drop-down menu, select Route based on physical NIC load as the load balancing policy.
7. Choose the appropriate network failover detection policy from the drop-down menu.
8. Click on OK and your settings will be effective.
