Let's get started with the configuration of the folders rather than the resource pool:
- Open up vSphere Client and log in to the vCenter Web Server.
- Select VMs and Templates on the home screen.
- Select the datacenter where you want to categorize the VMs.
- Right-click on the datacenter and select New Folder and then VM and Template Folder.
- Give a name to this folder and click on OK.
- Now move the existing VMs to this folder based on the categorization.
