To step through this recipe, you should have an existing vSphere Infrastructure, an existing vCenter Server, a couple of ESXi Servers (licensed with Enterprise Plus) connected to vCenter Server, and the HA cluster. Shared storage is required. A dedicated gig Ethernet is required. The same version of ESXi is required for all three hosts. The VM to protect needs to be one per CPU. No other prerequisites are required.
