To step through this recipe, you will need a couple of running ESXi Servers, an instance of vCenter Server, a couple of datastores attached to ESXi, and vSphere Web Client. No other prerequisites are required.

However, we presume that FAST is enabled on the storage side. Configuring FAST VP on EMC storage is not in the scope of this recipe.
