To deploy the vCenter server, perform the following steps:

1. Download VMware vCenter server and the modules for the Windows ISO file from http://www.vmware.com/download.
2. Mount the ISO file once it is downloaded.
3. Launch the autorun application in the root folder.
4. Click on the vCenter server for Windows and then the Install button.
5. Click on Next.
6. Accept EULA, then click on Next.

7. For the deployment type, click on the vCenter server under External Deployment. These steps assume that you have an external PSC instance; if you want to install the vCenter server with PSC, select the Embedded Deployment option:

8. Verify the system name and click on Next.
9. Enter the PSC FQDN and SSO administrator password of your PSC instance. Click on Next.
10. Enter the vCenter server service account you want to use, then click on Next.
11. Enter your database settings. We will be using the embedded PostgreSQL database. Click on Next.
12. Verify the default ports and click on Next.
13. Change the destination directories if desired and click on Next.
14. Click on Install.
15. This installation will take several minutes. When it is done, click on Finish.
