This is the optimal configuration. For users whose mailboxes have been provisioned or migrated to Exchange Online, no further action is necessary. Teams was designed to work with Exchange Online natively. You only need to ensure users have licensing enabled to access all of the Microsoft Teams features within Exchange Online.
