This is one of the preliminary analysis phases where we perform exploratory data analysis to understand the dataset. We discussed several techniques that we can perform to do this in Chapter 3, EDA with Personal Email Analysis. This step tells us about the type of data we have at hand, the target variable, how many rows and columns we have in the data, the data types of each column, how many missing rows we have, what the data distribution looks like, and so on.
