One of the most frequent questions we get is, “Can I use protein powder while on the cleanse?” We always prefer “the real deal,” so we made our own less-processed, plant-based versions using hemp and chia seeds. Choose from three flavorful variations to give your smoothie or homemade nut milk a protein boost.

CLEANSE
Cinnamon Spice Hemp
2 cups hemp seeds
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
2 tbsp Lakanto Classic Monkfruit Sweetener (optional)
Chia Cinnamon with a Kick
2 cups chia seeds
2–3 tbsp ground cinnamon
1–2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp Lakanto Classic Monkfruit Sweetener
Chocolate Hemp (80:20)
2 cups hemp seeds
2 tbsp raw cacao powder
2 tbsp Lakanto Classic Monkfruit Sweetener (optional)
1 In a food processor, combine all ingredients for your flavor blend of choice. Process until the mixture reaches a powder-like consistency, but take care not to overblend. (The mixture will not be a fine powder like a commercial protein powder, but a bit chunkier.) Transfer to an airtight container, and refrigerate to preserve freshness.
2 To use, mix 3 tablespoons protein powder with 2 cups homemade nut milk or blend into your favorite smoothie.
