Preparing Your Photoshop File for Camera Projection in Maya

You will use the castle painting you created in Chapters 3–7 to learn an advanced matte painting technique called camera projection. Camera projection uses a digital camera to project a painting onto 3D geometry.

In this chapter, you’ll learn how to prepare your Photoshop files for use in Maya. You’ll also learn how to set up an image plane as reference for creating the 3D geometry.
