Description

I saved the easiest for last. In fact, Description questions are not even proper questions. There is no way to answer and there is no grade for them. They are mainly used to display text or images, and they can act as labels for different parts of your test.

One important thing to note is that if you decide to use descriptions, you must not use the quiz-shuffling question orders option. If you do this, descriptions will not appear in the order you want them to.

I use these items to display an image, scene, or reading that I want my students to write about or answer questions relating to it. If you use Descriptions, and you want the questions to directly follow it in the test, you need to turn off the Shuffle questions option in your quiz, or the item could appear anywhere in the test.

The item creation is extremely simple, and is just like Essay. You need to enter a Question name and Question text, image, table, or other item. There is a Feedback function as well, which can be used to give students additional information about the topic or why the material was added to the quiz.

Once you have completed adding all the material you want, click on the Save button to save the question.
