Image Control Filters

PANAVISION have developed some very special matte–boxes beyond the normal multi–stage filter holders. To give added production values filters can be slid, rotated and tilted, in–shot, if required.

Inclining Prism Low Angle Attachment

An INCLINING PRISM placed in front of the taking lens enables a low angle shot to be taken from ground level. With it, it is even possible to take a shot looking upwards as though a hole had been cut in the floor to accommodate the camera. With an INCLINING PRISM there is no loss of exposure, definition or image orientation.

PANAFLASHER Light Overlay Accessory

The PANAFLASHER gives the film a very low overall exposure which has the effect of increasing the exposure in the shadow areas and reducing image contrast. If the light is colored it has the effect of tinting the shadows and leaving the highlights, and most of the skin tones, unaffected.

PANAVISION/FRAZIER Lens System

An extremely versatile lens system with almost infinite depth of field. Other attributes are an articulated front section which enables panning to be done independently of the camera, the ability of the lens to rotate the image about the optical axis (as with a dutch head or a turnover mount) and a unique cranked low–angle configuration.

PANAVISION Slant Focus Lenses

Allows the focal plane to be angled to one side or the other so that the plane of focus, and the available depth of field, may be set at a slope to the film plane. This is particularly useful when shooting with little depth of field and a close object on one side of the picture is required to be in as sharp focus as a more distant object on the other side.

PANATATE Turnover Camera Mount

The interpretation of a script sometimes calls for creative camera angles, even to the point of the camera turning upside down in space. This can be achieved with the PANATATE turnover mount which fits onto any PANAHEAD.
