PANABALL LEVELLERS

Yet another useful PANAVISION accessory is the PANABALL LEVELLER which eliminates the need to level a Mitchell type flat–top tripod by shortening or lengthening, or kicking, individual legs until the head is level.

For general use the regular PANABALL LEVELLER is fitted between the top of a Mitchell type tripod top and the underside of a PANAHEAD and gives 15° of levelling capability in any direction. Equally it can be used to tilt the camera by 15° in any direction.

The three short feet on the underside of a PANABALL LEVELLER may be removed when it is fitted to an extra wide tripod, dolly or camera crane interface. (When doing so, unscrew the feet and screw them in from the top side so they do not get lost).

The PANABALL Leveller as a Hi-Hat

A PANABALL LEVELLER may be placed on the ground or fitted to any flat surface and used as a levelling hi-hat. The three short feet have holes in them for retaining screws.

The PANABALL Nodal Leveller

For SFX use, the PANABALL NODAL LEVELLER may be used in conjunction with a PANANODE adaptor so that the entrance pupil of the lens does not move in space as the camera is levelled or tilted. The tilt range of the PANABALL NODAL LEVELLER is 3° in any direction.
