You need to have AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT installed in order to follow the book. This book is made with the Windows operating system version of AutoCAD in mind. If you are using AutoCAD on Mac, then you will find a different user interface. 

You can get the free 30-day trial version of AutoCAD from the Autodesk website and, if eligible, you can also get the free student version of AutoCAD from the Autodesk student portal.
