Sharing Your Scrapbook

When you have put together the digitized images with, say, the digitized interview of your relative, you will want to share it with others.

Playing a Scrapbook

Family reunions are a great place to share scrapbooks. If you have Family Tree Maker set up on a computer with speakers, there is no limit to what you can do.

NOTE

TIP

A sound file cannot play at the same time a slide is being viewed. If you have combined the two, you will find that you have a blank screen while the sound file runs its course.

Printing a Scrapbook

Most of the time, you will share your scrapbook by printing it out. Remember, the printed scrapbook includes only digitized still images, such as photographs or documents.

NOTE

NOTE

You can select box, line and border options on the scrapbook just as you can for many of the other trees and reports. In the Print Preview, click on the Format menu and select Box, Line & Border styles. These options work much the same as those discussed in Chapter 13, “Looking at the Tree Reports in Family Tree Maker.”

NOTE

TIP

If you want to share the scrapbook through e-mail or upload it to the Internet, instead of printing it, you can export the scrapbook to a PDF file. This is done by clicking on the File menu and selecting Export to PDF, while in the Print Preview view.
