Calculating Dates or Ages
There are times when you discover the age of an individual included in records. Through this information you can calculate the date of birth of the person. At other times you may not know the date of death but you have his age at death. When combined with the date of birth, you can calculate the date of death.

TIP
You have access to the date calculator any time you are in a date field in the Family Page. You will see a similar date calculator icon in the More About Facts page as well as in the Individual Facts Card. You can also access the date calculator by clicking on the People menu and selecting the Date Calculator.

TIP
To put the birth date in the Birth field of the Family Page, first click on the Copy button then put the cursor in the Birth field of the Family Page and use the CTRL-V hot key to paste the date into the field.
