Exporting out of WooCommerce

If you create a brand new company for your store, you might be able to store all of your product data in WooCommerce and use it as your singular source of truth. If so, you're lucky.

If you ever need to copy data to another system, you should set up a direct integration, such as the WooCommerce Square integration (which we will set up in the next chapter), that automatically syncs products and product data between both systems. However, if you don't have a direct integration, then you'll need to export data manually under WooCommerce | Products | Export and Import it into the new system as follows:

Alternatively, you could use a tool such as Zapier (https://zapier.com/home) that lets you connect your WooCommerce store with hundreds of other online applications. You can configure Zapier to watch for product updates and to update another system with each update.

If you use multiple systems to sell your products, you might have to export your product data manually and then load it into the other system. Now you know how to export data, for the rest of this chapter we're going to focus on syncing WooCommerce with these other systems. Let's see how to import products in the following section.
