Creating Lens Icons

The tile content that represents your app on the lens picker page is customized by creating three PNG images and placing them in the Assets directory of your Windows Phone App project. Each image is used depending on the phone’s display resolution. An image that is 277×277 pixels is used for WXGA. An image that is 259×259 pixels is used for 720p. And an image that is 173×173 pixels is used when the resolution is WVGA. The three images must be named as follows:

Image color is ignored. The images are displayed so that transparent pixels are displayed using the tile background, and nontransparent pixels are displayed using the phone’s foreground color (when using the phone’s dark theme, for example; this is white).
