In this chapter, we created our first iOS application in Xamarin Studio. We covered Apple's MVC design pattern to better understand the relationship between UIViewController and UIView. We also covered how to use Xcode's design tool and how it integrates with Xamarin Studio. Next, we created our first Android application in Xamarin Studio and learned about the activity lifecycle in Android. We also used Xamarin's Android designer to make changes to Android layouts.

From the topics covered in this chapter, you should be fairly confident when developing simple apps for iOS and Android using Xamarin's tools. You should have a basic understanding of the native SDKs and design patterns to accomplish tasks on iOS and Android.
