Explain the differences in the various iBook and iBook G4 models |
The iBook is designed for consumers, providing not only easy operation and connectivity, but (with a long-running battery and a strong simple body) effortless portability as well.
The first iBook, introduced in July 1999, featured a 12-inch display and PowerPC G3 in a clamshell industrial design. It also ushered in the era of wireless networking with its optional AirPort capabilities. January 2002 saw the introduction of the first iBook with a 14-inch display, and the entire line made the leap to the PowerPC G4 in October 2003.
The following charts outline the major technical differences among the iBook models. Use these charts to distinguish between various models and to determine the capabilities of each.
