Crispy Brussels Sprouts

Deep-fried Brussels sprouts have become a trendy restaurant menu item. You can get the same crispy, caramelized goodness without the oily deep-frying.

MAKES 4 servings • SERVING SIZE 1 serving

1lb (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved or quartered

1 tbsp olive oil

¾ tsp kosher salt

¾ tsp freshly ground black pepper

1. Set the air fryer temp to 390°F.

2. In a large bowl, combine the Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat.

3. Place the Brussels sprouts in the fryer basket and cook until caramelized and tender, about 16 minutes.

4. Transfer the Brussels sprouts to a serving bowl and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm.

TIP For an extra burst of flavor, season with fresh lemon zest and more freshly ground black pepper right before serving.
