In this chapter, we showed how to set up the system to track user activity impacting the BI Server.

Usage tracking plays an important role in managing the overall health of the OBIEE system. It should be used regularly to identify heavy users and heavy usage times, along with bottlenecks. Use the stats over time to ensure that users are not turning off due to poor performance. User adoption can also be improved by identifying people that are not using the system. It can also be used to check that cache seeding is effective.
