In this chapter, we introduced the idea of improving overall performance by working on the individual components that make up an OBIEE system.

We showed how the new hardware can accelerate the performance to a near real-time point, making performance good enough even for the most demanding of customers (including investment bankers!). Monitoring performance is vital to ensure that the system is delivering what the users want in a timely manner, and with 12c it is easy, thanks to the storage of the logical and physical SQL. Use this information to tune your system, and keep tuning never stop tuning.
