Charge Controller Cable
The charge control cable is always considered live. It is always working when there
is sun on the modules. Pay attention to the cable termination sizes as they may
restrict the sizes of cable and conductors for both.
Inverter Use
It is rarely worthwhile to double-wire a home or office for DC and AC. If you
are going to include DC loads, it is generally best to keep it simple and buy a
small AC to DC converter, a device that transforms voltage from one type
to another.
Choose an inverter that will do the job without straining. Customers can
always upgrade the inverter if the need arises. Do not rely on the inverter’s surge
capacity other than for extreme or unusual
circumstances. If you are using the surge
capacity once a month, you probably are
overloading the inverter.
Prepare to teach your customer about
how to use their systems. They normally
will run out of power three times before
they grasp the systems use and capabilities
even in very well-designed systems.
