Before jumping to 3D Modeling, let's understand the 3D Modeling workflow across different tools that we are going to use during the course of this book. The following diagram explains the flow of the 3D Modeling workflow:

In the next section, you will follow this workflow; first, you will learn to do 3D Modeling and UV Unwrapping in Autodesk Maya. Adobe Photoshop can then be used to do Texturing on the UV Unwrapping output. Then, both outputs can be taken from Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop to Unity3D. Using Unity3D, you can apply texture on them and publish the assets as a package to be consumed by the development team.
