Visualization

Within the holographic application, the user should be able to select product and place it anywhere within his real home environment. Application development will be a one-time activity, that is, it can't have assets or 3D Models for all possible products, as new products will get added within merchandising system on a daily or weekly basis. So, the application should have a mechanism to download new assets and then present it to the user. This will enhance user experience, as the user will be able to visualize new products every time.

When the application is launched, a user can view hologram of the catalog, that is, a list of categories such as, electronics, room furnishings, and much more. The user can further select any category, and subsequent items get visible for selection--for example, if the user selects electronics, the application shows a list of television set to choose from. Similarly, when a user selects home furnishings, the application shows products, such as, wall hangings, lights, paintings, and so on.

Now, if the user selects a particular item, the application should download its corresponding 3D Model from the Asset store, and then dynamically load the asset within the application. When the asset is loaded, the user should be able to place that asset anywhere within the real environment, for example, placing the television on wall of their room. The user visualizes the holographic television--if they like it, then they places an order for this television, otherwise closes this asset and opens another item from the catalog.
