In order to get an application GUID, we will need to create it in Azure AD. Using the new portal, navigate to Azure Active Directory | App registration | + Add.

In the Create dialog, enter the following details:

• Name: Pack Java 365
• Application Type: Native
• Sign-on URL: http://localhost/Signon

The name can be anything you like; the application type is native as opposed to web app/API as we are building a console application and not a web application/web API. Since we are not going to use a sign-on URL in this recipe, we just need is populate the filed with a correctly formatted URL.

Once created, we have our GUID in the APPLICATION ID column in the App registration list. The following screenshot highlights the navigation path to get to the APPLICATION ID:
