WEARING TWO HATS

Few supervisors are fortunate enough to have another person to do their concentrating. Most must wear two hats. One is used to deal with daily operational tasks (working with customers, dealing with production factors, etc.), and the other (a concentration hat) is used for planning purposes. With desire and training, Hazel, in our previous example, could learn to do both, as is the case with almost all supervisors.
