He could save additional time by having staff meetings instead of individual communication sessions on matters such as productivity schedules. A more serious problem for Joe is that he appears to be guilty of what might be termed fragmented management—going from one activity to another without an overall plan for the day. Joe needs more guidance and support from Mr. Big on how to manage himself.
