CRITERIA FOR SETTING PRIORITIES

Experts describe three basic yardsticks to follow in setting priorities. First is judgment. You are the best judge, so prioritizing is a do-it-yourself undertaking. Second is relativity. Relativity can best be determined by asking the question “What is the best use of my time right now?” Third is timing. Deadlines often dictate priorities, but starting times need to be made in advance, and these decisions involve the priority process.
