MR. K

As Mr. K, you have seniority over all the other employees in Joe's department. In fact, you have served under five different supervisors. You are married and have five children. Two are outstanding students in the local high school.

You feel you are a loyal, friendly, helpful employee, but you see no reason to extend yourself. You manage to keep your productivity at a safe average, and that is about as far as you intend to go. Joe is an acceptable supervisor (no better or worse than some of the other young ones you've adjusted to), but he probably won't last too long, so why worry? After all, you taught him most of what he knows about the job, and he still comes to you for advice.

You could have become department supervisor some years ago, but you turned it down because you didn't want the people problems involved. You feel the pay is fairly good and the benefits are great, so you coast along. Your main interest is fishing, and the more time you spend in your camper, the better life is for you.
