A CLOSET
A closet tells us a good deal about
its owner. It holds our clothes, shoes,
and hints at our identity. Anyone
opening its door could guess quite a
lot about the owner. Small wonder
closets and wardrobes gure in
magical books and in our dreams.
A NARNIA FANTASY DREAM
You nd yourself at the back of a huge closet,
just like in C. S. Lewis’s children’s fantasy story.
Pushing the clothes to one side, you notice a
secret door and open it. A whole new world
appears, colorful and inviting. You long to
explore but know you cannot.
Action Accept that you might be wanting to
escape the real world at the moment.
Comfort yourself with the fact that you’d
like to climb through a magic door into a
better place. Find the courage to face
the present diculties and wait for
change that will surely happen.
PRESENTS ARE PILED AT THE
TOP OF THE CLOSET
Exciting gift-wrapped presents are glimpsed at
the top of the closet. Are they for you, or surely
more likely for other people? Wonderful potential
is hidden inside the wrapping paper, but you can’t
believe that richness is destined for you.
Action Gifts represent loving thoughtfulness and
the giver wanting you to have the pleasure of
accepting them. Are you aware how of much
you are loved and appreciated? Reect on why
you doubt their aection. Learn to accept the
gift of their feelings, and stop wondering if those
closet presents are planned for others.

THE CLOSET IS EMPTY
Standing in an empty room is an empty closet.
Forlorn, you pull one door open and feel its
emptiness as an emotional blow. Does it remind
you of a life that has past? Is the emptiness
mirroring your current feelings?
Action That sense of a void in the dream is
reecting a need to consider ways to ll the gap
in your life. An empty closet is a metaphor for
your sadness, or even depression. Resolve to
turn this around, if possible—plan how to
change the voids you are experiencing. Perhaps
you would nd nourishment in following
a more spiritual path.
CLOTHES ARE JAMMED ON
THE RACKS
A dream closet seems ridiculously overfull:
clothes are jammed in so tightly it’s virtually
impossible to pull any one garment out. You
struggle to release just one because you need
to wear it, but your eorts are useless.
Action Have you taken on a crazy amount of
obligations and begun to realize you can’t
cope? Then make decisions now to ooad
as many as is reasonable. The pressure you’re
experiencing is mirrored by the dream—the
stress here can mean loss of well-being, or
signify future diculties to face in addition
to the load you are already carrying.
