SQUEEZING
THROUGH
A HOLE
There’s no avoiding the obvious
scenario that comes to mind—a baby
being born—but of course there are
many other ways our dreams can infer
birth of another kind. They can depict a
new chapter, transition, or dicult
maneuvers. But central to all images
of squeezing through tight spaces is the
concept of change.
AN ENTRANCE
IS TOO NARROW
A storm is brewing, and you hurry to nd shelter
from the rain. You see an old hut as the rain
begins to pour down, and you rush toward it. The
hut’s door is only half-open, and you try to
squeeze through the small space. But it’s
impossible. You have a growing fear that you’re
stuck, unable to go forward or backward.
Action The storm—whatever this represents—
has pushed you into a situation you may not yet
be ready for. Resign yourself to waiting for
matters to subside and hope that next time
you will be able to make the dicult journey
through that narrow entrance.
YOU ARE STUCK IN A
MANHOLE IN THE ROAD
Torrential rain has caused severe ooding. A
manhole outside has been lifted by the torrent
underground, and you think it is your job to get it
sorted out. You climb down but somehow get
stuck. You wish you’d called others to help
before venturing down there on your own.
Action Reect how much you rush in to take on
jobs for which you are not prepared. Enlist
expert help before you undertake risky projects.
You can achieve far more together.
