TERMITES

Action Identify what destructive activity is going
on—either in your home or within yourself. The
rotting timbers are a metaphor that suggests
you need to take steps to protect yourself or

your relationships? Have you failed to notice
either someone else’s needs or your own?

how you might be failing to notice a rotten
situation, then set about rectifying it before the

Action Ask yourself why this person had such an
impact. Isn’t it time to alter your perceptions of
them? The family myth could have painted a
false picture into which—as a young person—
you once innocently bought. Now you can
evaluate for yourself, make up your own mind
about how to see this person, and live your
life by your own rules, not following the
family’s party line.

DIARIES
You dream of wandering through a big attic. It has
unfamiliar boxes, les, and writings. You search for
their provenance, but all you nd are unknown
people’s handwritten diaries. Sitting down on a
dusty chest, you read through these
autobiographical pages. You see such sadness
and so many poignant words that you begin to
weep—you want to hold them close forever.
Action If you have never considered writing, take
this dream as a hint. Someone else’s
eloquence—wherever it came from—moved
you. Think about using some part of their story
or copying the quality of the writing you brought
into waking life and try creating a story of your
own that honors the original writer.
