Active as a graphic
designer since 1996,
when she graduated
with a first from the
course in Typography &
Graphic Communication
at Reading University.
Anne Odling-Smee
worked at design
consultancy Esterson
Lackersteen, then at
August publishers
before setting up O-SB
design in 2001. Anne
teaches at the University
of Arts London, the
Konstfack in Sweden,
and has lectured at the
Goethe Institut Krakow
and Centre for Con-
temporary Art in Poland.
She is author of
The
New Handmade Graphics
(RotoVision, 2003).
Her latest project, a
catalog design for the
prestigious Deutsche
Börse Photography
Prize, was launched
in conjunction with
the exhibition opening.
Featuring the works
of the four short listed
photographers, the
books are beautifully
bound in a rough
textured stock with
foil-blocked cover lines,
and a choice of four
photographs.
